Keyword research

Build a shortlist from labelled vendor estimates and measured search evidence.

1. Call list_sites first and use a returned siteId. Obtain approval for paid research, then call research_keywords with confirmMetered: true. Defaults are locationCode 2840 (United States) and languageCode en (English).
2. A 503 means the research provider is not configured. Use get_search_console_queries for retained measured clicks and impressions when available; impressions are not keyword volume.
3. Shortlist terms whose intent matches the page. Keep unavailable volume distinct from zero; do not invent volume or traffic estimates.
4. Call add_rank_tracking_keywords with the approved shortlist. This free database mutation honors plan limits and does not dispatch a scan. A later paid scan is a separate action.
5. The explicit confirmMetered field is now required for legacy paid tools. Existing agent integrations must add it after obtaining authorization, not silently set it on the user's behalf.
